Frequently asked questions

What is Precedera?
Precedera drafts technical accounting memos from your facts and documents, grounded in the FASB Accounting Standards Codification and large firm interpretive guides.
Does this tool provide audit ready output?
No, we'd never recommend giving AI output from any tool to your auditor. Precedera saves you time by cutting the preparer step.
Is this professional accounting advice?
No. Precedera produces drafts for professional review. Final positions should always be reviewed by a qualified accounting professional.
What sources does Precedera use?
The FASB Accounting Standards Codification and large firm interpretive guides. It does not search the web or rely on third-party commentary.
What topics can it cover?
Revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, financial instruments, income taxes, stock compensation, impairment, debt and equity classification, and more.
What can I upload?
One PDF per memo, up to 15MB -- contracts, agreements, term sheets, or other supporting documents. You can also run a memo from a written fact pattern alone.
How long does a memo take?
Typically 2-3 minutes.
Will my data be used to train AI models?
No. Document content is sent to leading AI model providers through Precedera's own enterprise API accounts, under terms that prohibit using your data to train their models.
How does the free trial work?
Every account includes one free memo -- no credit card required.
How does pricing work?
$99/month includes 15 memos per billing period; additional memos are $15 each, billed automatically at the end of the period. Your dashboard shows a live tracker of memos used and any overage accrued.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, from Manage Subscription in your dashboard -- it opens the Stripe billing portal.
Ready to draft your first memo?
